So I am in the works of putting together my new web series “7 AM”. It will span over 5 episodes, that follow a consistent multiple narrative structure each episode for the whole series.
The story Is a mesh of Final Destination (now a tradition of mine I guess) and Groundhog Day. In other words a girl dying in a different way every same day, constantly until she unravels what the fuck is actually going down.
The multiple narratives follow the stories of the daily female victim (Bella), along with her boyfriend and Bella’s mother on Bella’s 7th birthday. The narratives all come together in the final episodes to uncover the mystery.
Each episode will be three to five minuets and aired on a weekly basis. When finished I will edit it all into a single slightly trimmed piece that I will be distributing to some festivals.
This will be my highest budget flick thus far at about $1000 (not including the $1700 camera purchased for use). I am using a limited cast and set of locations to keep costs minimal. Most of the costs will be in the special effects equipment like makeup and the vehicle in use (my first car) which I will destroy if it gives out by then.
The equipment in use includes my Cannon 550D, a recently obtained tripod dolly, two flood lights, a blood and gore makeup kit, latex and liters of blood.
I am anticipating a June release as the transition between pre and post-production is only taking place now, due to some massive re-writes. Also heavy use of visual effects are planned. Including a hugely popular “slidey part” I have always dreamed of pulling off, as seen in films like Resident Evil, Underworld 2, Cube and Final Destination 2. However it is an extremely difficult effect to pull off, involving green screens, 3D modeling software and a lot of time spent compositing the hundreds of layers their are bound to be.

At this stage their is no help really needed on board, other then what I already have. So please don’t ask as the more people I get on board, the harder it is to organize. However saying this I am likely to be asking around later in production when needed.
I’m going to be releasing a promo by April and a trailer will hit by May, I will also be once again following the production with a rough production diary on the blog with some pictures and clips. However for now here’s a sneak peak of the constant morning our victim experiences…
Finally after 6 months The Face 2010 (The Face: Chapter 4) is online and live. Due to some youtube problems, make sure you watch it on full screen. And please leave comments, its taken a lot of learning to get this product. And for people that are familiar with the original trilogy, you will get even more of a kick, if you havn´t seen them, check them out here.
Just letting ya know I have put together a 1 min trailer for my new short which will be up and online on youtube tomorow, the trailer features the movie trailer voice over guy (thanks to a certain someone) so look forward to that!
