In the past I have done a couple of rants about annoying things that don’t often come to mind, however this time I am focusing on mobiles.
4. Private Numbers:
When people call me from a number I don’t know it’s bad enough, but when it’s a Blocked/Private number, their is no way I will ever answer. The usual case will be me handing it to a mate and get them to say I’m on the bog or shower. But if you have a private number and find that no one (I) ever picks up.. think about changing it.
3. Incomplete Replies:
One thing that shits me beyond belief is when you spend a large amount of time and effort and credit writing a long SMS to someone with several questions in it and have them reply to only one (often the last) question in your txt, then requiring you to waste more time and credit asking each unanswered question again (often over several txts).

2. Auto-incorect:
Spell check and autocorrect in mobiles, when they get the complete wrong thing you type, especially in phones (like iPhones) when it automatically “corrects” it by just pressing the instinctual “space” button. This also often results in the receiver having a txt that doesn’t make any sense at all.
1. Shitty Coverage (Three/Vodafail):
Me being with three (who is merged with Vodafone) for my mobile, suffer as a victim of their crappy coverage. It’s not this I mind so much when it comes to making calls and txting as it just switches to Telstras network on roaming and it doesn’t really effect anything unless in very remote places. However what this does effect is Internet usage from the phone, I get 3GB of data usage a month on my $69 cap. However, something I didn’t realize though (until I copped $30 in usage fees) is that it only applies in 3 coverage areas (basically Penrith to the CBD of Sydney). Anywhere outside of this I pay for at 25c per MB which wouldn’t be so bad if it wasn’t for their rule of it being with a minimum of 24 MB increments, that means if you accidentally download 1 MB (which I will explain how easy is it happen in a sec) it straight up costs you $6.00!! This can easily happen in the city, as in some areas (e.g. Woolstencraft, Artarmon) you can be on the train in a 3 coverage area on Facebook and in the middle of doing something have it switch to roaming and cost you a sixer. Also a common mistake I make is leaving “Cellular Data” switched on when going out of 3 Coverage areas, meaning that notifications from things like Facebook and Email will update automatically without you doing anything and cost you money.
So their we have it, next time I call you about coming over to Telstra, sign up! Lol
